Please be advised, new legislation has come into force in relation to Electrical testing, this is not 'PAT' (portable appliance testing), instead it is hard wire testing. All electrical installations must now be tested and, any works required, carried out in order for a 'Satisfactory' outcome. The test is known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). The report would, as standard, last for five years, unless otherwise recommended.
Any new Tenancy starting on or after 1st July 2020 will need to have a report (and any remedial works carried out) in place. For existing Tenancies, a report must be carried out by 1st April 2021.
